According to Arber Sadiki, the chief of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Naim Trnava, had decided who won long ago.
Moreover, according to him, news of this had first become known in Turkey.
“Concurs was announced in 2012 in December, while Mufti Naim Ternava had given an interview a month earlier in a Turkish media Anadolu Agency, describing in detail what the project would look like with four minarets and other details that are identical to the model that was later selected”, Sadiki said.
The question is why the architectural contest is held when the project<x1 is previously established.
While, Fahrush Rexhepi, dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, in defence of Ternava, has stressed that the mufti's “declaration was made after professional commission statements”.
“Of course that private, personal preferences are made in advance, yet without setting”.
The architect has also had other dissatisfaction with the mosque model, which he has said belongs to the XVIth century style, while a contemporary project has been required in the project.
“Sili, domes, minaret style are almost identical to most mosques in Turkey. I'm a category against this model. There are at least 30 projects there that you choose with your eyes closed to meet the” conditions.
