Kosovo institutions are still not fully opened when it comes to publishing their work. Access to official documents still turns out to be a very difficult job.
There are even ongoing complaints from media that institutions are extremely closed in this regard, writes Indexline.
This is best witnessed by a report published on the official page of the Prime Minister's Office, the General Report 2016, of public institutions for realising the right to access public documents.
However, there is no shortage of cases when institutions grant permission for document requests.
Reference to this total report, the number of requests for access to official documents has been two thousand and 169. Of them, two thousand and 50 were allowed, while 62 were refused.
Only in the direction of the central Assembly institutions, the president of the Constitutional Court have 21 requests been addressed. Of them 20 have been allowed, while only one has been restricted.
Unlike Government, the minister, of other subordinate agencies, there have been 671 requests. From this number 599 they've taken the green cylinder, 31 have been rejected until 41 with limited access.
Independent Institutions have reached 181 requests during the past year. 173 have been allowed, 5 have been rejected of 3 with limited access.
A total of 89 requirements have been addressed in Universities, of which 87 have been allowed and two have been rejected. 124 requests have been the number in public enterprises, 122 have been allowed, while 2 have been rejected.
1083 is the total demand addressed to the municipalities. 1049 allowed, 22 refused and 12 limited. /Indesksonline/
