Turkish police have killed five members of the Islamic State this morning during a raid on the town of Konja, in central parts of the country. Four police officers have suffered during this action of minor injuries, Dogan news agency reported.
As this news agency reported, police believe members of this group had planned terrorist attacks. Automatic rifles and large quantities of ammunition have been found in their home.
Turkey has recently been the target of a series of attacks undertaken by members of the Islamic State and Kurdish rebels, and for this reason authorities have strengthened anti-terrorism operations across the country.
