Albanian cultural associations and active personalities from Germany's largest launched, Nordran Westfalen, gathered at the initiative of the Integrated Cultural Association “identity” headquartered in Dusseldorf, through a petition have asked Kosovo institutions, not to ignore the Albanian diaspora in the world anymore, Kosovo public television reports.
The representatives have requested direct representation of the diaspora in the country's institutions through reserved seats in the Republic of Kosovo Parliament, albinfo.ch conveys.
Albania's “Framework, especially the one from Kosovo, since the post-war is the most neglected and despised part of society”, says in a petition submitted to Kosovo institutions by the Albanian Cultural Associations, “identity” headquartered at Dusseldorf, in Germany's largest province, Nordraj Vestalen. “The diaspora is the most deserved pre-war part, during the war, but even now, and is the most active part of Kosovo society”, said the petition.
The recent general political elections held in Kosovo were also one more cause of citizens' disappointment, since the exile was once again excluded from the constitutional right to vote”, it is said that the last “is the time for the Republic of Kosovo to behave with its citizens in exile as Mother, not as stepparents.
Among the requirements laid down in this petition are: The diaspora's census; to remove dual vehicle insurance payments at the border; to create conditions; and to allow the license to vote, not by mail, but by electronically and direct voting at the embassy, Consulate, or even at the headquarters of Albanian clubs and associations; to become representation of the diaspora in the country's institutions with the reserved seats in the Kosovo Parliament, then that “stafi of the Diasposa Ministry be led by the diaspora” etc.
