New discoveries reveal a test that determines breast cancer patients with a low risk of returning their tumor, allowing them to avoid aggressive treatments.
The test correctly identified 15 patients participating in the study as a low risk of returning their cancer. Such patients had a strong prognosis after their initial treatment, whether they were given additional therapies to prevent their tumor return, the research adds.
Master author Dr. Laura Esserman of the University of California in San Francisco said: “This is an important step forward to personalise breast cancer care for women”, Periscopi broadcasts.
Now we can test breast cancer joints, and if they're in the ultra-low category of risk, we can show women that they're not likely to die of cancer, and they don't need aggressive treatment, including the radiation after the river. /Periscopi/
