Thousands have gathered at a crossroads in the Canadian town of Winnipeg to create the largest maple leaf, the country's symbol.
The event was organised by Downtown Winnipeg Biz and filmed from above. And that, was just part of the national day celebrations, while Canada marked its 150th anniversary as a state.
Prince Charles, who along with his wife Camille, attended the ceremony organized at the National Art Center, attended.
About 500 thousand people gathered in Otttawa for celebrations, amid a major concert in front of the national parliament, which will be accompanied by acrobatics, fireworks and music.
