Albert Veliu allegedly had associates within Kosovo police

But Albert “Bennym Blanco from the Bronx” Veliu wasn't discussing brand Addas, Nike or New Balance shoes.

Veliu, 34, was discussing the purchase of 15 AK-47 (atlantic) rifles and an M80 Zolja anti-tank rocket (Sneak-sized) whose sales he made in Eastern Europe more precisely in Kosovo.

A member of Kosovo's police had assisted Veliun in selling these weapons.

In April of this year, Veliu had contacted his boss about selling firearms to Eastern Europe. After the telephone conversation Veliu had gone to Kosovo, where he had co-operated with a secret member of the Kosovo police, writes Silive. com

The weapons were destined for a network of Mexican drug groups engaged in a <x0 war> ” along the border.

Veliu was among the eight defendants, including two other former Staten Island residents charged with various acts related to the operation of money trafficking schemes, money laundering and drugs, which eventually resulted in the sale of weapons by Veliu.

In addition to the other accused Albert Veliu are Xevat Gocaj, Agim Rugova, Ekram Sejija and Alban Veliu.

And Veliu along with another American citizen accused of the same work, Christopher Curanovic, associate of “La Cosa Nostra” has created an illegal money laundering scheme through the sale of drugs.

The DEA during the investigation process has found that four other Kosovars -- Dzevat Gocaj, Agim Rugova, Ekram Sejija, Alban Veliu -- have helped Albert Veliu in money laundering.

The defendants have cleared nearly 800,000 dollars allegedly from drug sales revenues.

The Foreign Ministry has severed the contract from those arrested. /Insider. com
