Thierry Henry has always been loved in Nigeria yet now he's taken a big step forward.

The legend of Arsenal has been crowned King “Igwe” of football at a football event Sunday.

Belgium's coach's assistant was traditionally dressed in front of supporters thanks to Guinea Nigeria.

In the days when he played soccer, the Nigerians cheered Igwe every time Henry scored because the African people are in love with him. Arsenal has had great visibility in the country with the largest African population, and the same is happening to Alex Iwobi.

Henry is expected to travel to Russia for the World Cup with Belgium as the Frenchman seeks to repeat success in the field as well.
