More than 300 flights have been cancelled, and hundreds have been postponed because of snow and ice at Frankfurt Airport.
About 330 flights have been cancelled until 5:00 after heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures that have hit Germany's economic centre, Frankfurt, writes Periscope.
Authorities from the airport, however, have said that additional flights of the first 1,260 flights can be canceled today. So said a Frankfurt Airport spokesman, adding that in the next few hours, the weather can improve.
Closed for several hours was the airport in Dusseldorf, German news agency DPA reported.
Snow weather and low temperatures have also presented numerous problems in railway transport to Germany, imposing the postponement and cancellation of transportation and cargo trains. /Periscopi/
