Palestine's Media of Erudite has appealed to the Islamic Umet in the Intifade in response to American President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Anadolu Agency (AA) broadcast.
“We call on the Islamic government and our people in a major institution which, in principle, has the Koran and the suite”, says the Union's written statement.
The statement notes that the decision in question encourages Jewish radicalism and that all Palestinians should unite against this step of the United States of America (SHBA).
The reaction comes after US President Trump declared the time has come to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and warned of the American Embassy's shift to this city, even though UN Security Council Resolution 478 in 1980 does not recognise the annexation of East Jerusalem and its proclamation as capital.
