The most important agreement reached, the paper said, is that Russia will join the dialogue on Kosovo if the US joins it.
This was announced yesterday by Serbia's Moscow president, providing details of the conversation he had with the first man of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. During a warm meeting in the Kremlin, according to the medium “Novost”, the most important points for the two countries' future relations were clarified:
Russia will firmly represent Belgrade's positions regarding Kosovo's final status, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
Moscow, as a producer, has generally acknowledged that Serbia can negotiate with Belarus for the purchase of the S-300 missile system.
Serbia is officially invited to participate in the “Turkish Framework” project, which will ensure energy security.
Serbia has committed to keeping the country in the international arena, defending its interests, which means it will not impose sanctions on Moscow.
With this “baggage” capital, Vuciq returns to Belgrade, determined to maintain the course of an independent Serbia that rules independently for its future. The deal in the luxury neighbourhoods of the Kremlin could be echoed very quickly, because next year it is expected to break Kosovo's complex knot, according to “Novosti”.
The paper says Vuciq directly asked Putin if Russia could be a mediator in the event of expanding the format of dialogue with Kosovo, and President Putin agreed.
The Kremlin yesterday did not want to comment on Russia's possible mediating role in the negotiations for Kosovo, and spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Kosovo's “tem was seriously addressed during Russian-Serbian talks”. /Periscopi/
