Kosovo Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Kujtim Gashi and Turkey's Culture and Tourism Minister Numan Kurtulmuş have signed agreements in Ankara today in the field of culture that will deepen relations between the two countries to bring cultural co-operation to another level.
The two countries, through the signed agreement, agree that in the future they will co-operate in various cultural initiatives, in supporting promotion of artists and performers from both countries, joint cultural activities in both Kosovo and Turkey, in strengthening friendly relations and promoting mutual knowledge achieved in the field of culture.
“The Agreement includes co-operation in all areas of culture, theatre, gallery, then amendments to the Republic of Kosovo and Turkey, which have often exchanged their activities already. This agreement is also a good basis that will enable the life of many separate agreements between the two countries' cultural institutions”, said Minister Gashi.
For his part, Minister Kurtulmuş said he felt happy that Kosovo and Turkey signed co-operation agreements in the field of culture.
This agreement will strengthen ties between the two states. Kosovo, its people, its culture and history are very close to our country. Through this agreement we will increase the joint work among the” institutions, the Turkish Culture Minister said.
The agreement that was signed today envisions that the parties agree to support and promote direct co-operation between relevant cultural institutions that are in charge of areas such as national archives, libraries, galleries, museums, literature, visual and performance arts, publishing activities, cinematography and other audio-visual media.
