Haradinaj: If I asked, Albin would be released from today

Keeping Albin Kurt in prison because of his political objections is unfair. Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj thinks so.

Haradinaj says that if he was asked, former Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti would be released from today.

Government head makes it meaningless to hold his prison, though he disagrees with many topics with Kurti.

I respect Albin, in all respects I disagree with him, in his methods, in every other way, but I respect him. And I think it's kind of unfair that he's stuck in prison, I'm not saying that if I decided today he'd come out of jail, so if it were my decision. But I think it should be given an epilogue to prosecute MPs because of their political objections, and it's good to stop Kosovo. I have appealed, but now I can't go to become a prosecutor and a judge, and I can't sleep in the decisions of prosecutors and judges, and I don't have it right, and I don't have to take this because I'm interfering with justice, but the thought is that as soon as Kosovo gets to end these persecution”, Haradinaj said.

However, the head of government says it disagrees with Kurt, who is not responding to the court.

I understand that, they could have taken him back to court once, if he doesn't come back with them and send him back, but they probably don't have to wear it. It's like they've once taken him away from court, go get him back. I don't agree that Albin is not responding to the Court, I think it's wrong. But yet, he is the chosen people, not an ordiner criminal. I hope our justice will free them to host the holidays at home, the Donika's.. ”, he added.

In this interview, Haradinaj also speaks of dialogue with Serbia, the process he says does not see itself involved. The executive head agrees that the country's President Hashim Thaci will represent Kosovo in dialogue, but with the participation of both political parties and the prime minister's office.

I agree the president to represent in dialogue, but we have requested a platform for dialogue prepared by the Government, experts to approach the Parliament, and the Parliament to debate, to decide to give the president the mandate. There is also the possibility that the president will have representatives of the political parties, officials appointed, in the form of the Kosovo team if he needs someone from the Government, give them. I do not see my role in dialogue because the chairman of the government does not have the opportunity to stay much abroad”, Haradinaj said.

The prime minister, once also the head of the AAK, calls giving the epilogue for demarcation from the Parliament a positive step, whether it ratifys or rejects it. Because according to him, it accelerates visa liberalisation.

We have an agreement that is bilateral with Montenegro, it has gone to the Assembly. But we also have the commission's findings. These MPs could decide at any time, well it would be Kosovo's not wasting time as soon as one door closes, but another one opens, but we win on time ... no, not speeding up the door for epilogue liberalisation. The suspension doesn't help anyone, keeping it out of control, it costs us a lot... ..see if I decide the Parliament, from that moment on I get activated, if I'm immediately turned on, I communicate with the Montenegrin government, I explain what's going on, with the EU”, Haradinaj stressed.

However, despite his party's not going to vote on the demarcation, Haradinaj says that with coalition partners they have a correct government, as they have divided opinions on many topics.

Speaking of the situation in energy, Prime Minister Haradinaj says it is difficult to find out who and why brought the country into this situation. But, says the importation of energy is the interest of sexmen who buy and sell electricity because someone deliberately left the country without reserves of coal.

It's a political malpractice, an interest of those sexmen who buy electricity and sell electricity, is a big mix to be honest with is finding the truth. Haradinaj has also spoken of setting up salaries for himself, his staff and several departments, said he has done this to preserve everyone's integrity, since their positions are extremely sensitive.
