The Civil Emergency and Crisis Co-ordination Committee near Albania's prime minister announced this evening that the weather in the country has come towards improvement and teams have been engaged without interruption, with the main focus of leaving the waters and waste from the residences, enabling the return of about 80% of families evacuated to their homes.
The “Moti in our country has come towards improvement. Powers from Vjosa have fallen below the critical level and the river has returned to its bed. As a result of investments in hydromotive drains and management, water has been quickly drawn from flooded areas”, the report said.
It also becomes known that work has followed on establishing the new shale in Darazeski and has ended in record time of only 18 hours, mainly during the night, construction of the broken bridge.
The main options are open, except for some rural roads, where work is under way to unlock them. However, rainfall has caused damage to bridges and road segments that require long - term intervention. Electricity supply has normalised and is working to improve water quality in the affected pipeline. Arrangements have been made for tomorrow's classes to resume in 13 more schools, from 28 that did not open today. Relief distribution and full and transparent inventory of damages for their compensation have begun. The Civil Emergency and Crisis Co-ordination Committee has opened bank accounts for anyone who wants to contribute to the assistance of affected citizens, and the waiting and management centre of aid” has been established in the KKEC statement.
The Civil Emergency and Crisis Co-ordination Committee thanks all members of state and private structures who are engaged in field operations to cope with the situation, as well as assess the assistance and readiness of neighbours, international organisations and partners to cope with the situation and repair of damages.
