Syrian president has yet to comment on the charges, however, he has repeatedly denied charges on the deadly attack on civilians, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.
Despite Turkey's mediator in the Syrian peace talks, which are also mediated by Russia and Iran, Assad has earlier refused to consider Ankara as a partner or a guarantor state, accusing this country of supporting terrorism.
For its part, Ankara is sending mixed signals about its view of Syria's political future.
In November, Erdogan declared that Turkey was not excluding future contacts with Assad, with the statement after declaring that Ankara does not consider Damascus a threat.
