American Odas in Albania, Kosovo collect businesses from both countries

Under the organisation of American Odays in Albania and Kosovo, meetings between Albania and Kosovo businesses have been held for two consecutive days, with the aim of establishing contacts and boosting economic and trade co-operation. The Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo Bajram Hasani and Republic of Society Enforcement Defence Minister Sonia Qato also participated in the opening of the B2B activity.
Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani praised the American Odays in Albania and Kosovo for their initiative, praising as necessary the meetings between businesses at a time when both governments are constantly engaged in building co-operation and eliminating barriers that have been presented over and over again. He invited companies from Albania to invest in Kosovo, stressing also the positive ranking the country has had in the World Bank's Doing Business report.
The Executive Director of the American Economic Ode in Kosovo, Arian Zeka, said that despite the frequent meetings of the two governments, no concrete results have been achieved in increasing trade exchanges between the two countries. He said business meetings between businesses in Kosovo and Albania should continue in the future.
During the two days of B2B activity, about 80 businesses from Albania and Kosovo from different sectors, such as production, services and trade, have taken part until the first steps of co-operation between different companies, which are expected to be concreteised with business deals.
