MP Albulen Hadziu called the trial of four deputies for the tear pipeline two years of persecution.
The trial of four MPs for the tear pipeline in the Assembly, MP Albulen Haxhiu, considered two years of persecution.
“Two years of alleged persecution in the name of justice, which was a great injustice for us who protected the Republic of Kosovo”, Haxhi said in court.
The MP found that the accused did not act for criminal purposes.
We have not acted for criminal reasons, but for political reasons. We haven't had criminal intentions but political goals”, Haxhiu said.
She said MPs enjoy immunity from prosecution.
“Deputies enjoy immunity from prosecution for actions related to their function. According to the indictment, the actions we are accused of were reportedly undertaken in the quality of deputies”, Haxhiu said.
She claimed that by her actions official persons have not been hampered.
Haxhiu said the court would likely also in this process to prove its impartiality.
This procedure is farce. This court to protect its impartiality must issue a loose and uncondemned act of justice”, Haxhiu said.
Albulen Haxhiu lawyer Ahmet Ahmeti said he has expected the prosecutor to drop the charges to protect him.
Material trials do not in any form confirm that my defense has committed the criminal acts he is accused of. As a result, the defence proposes that Albulen Haxhiu be cleared of the” prosecution, Ahmeti said.
Albin Kurti, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Albulen Haxhiu are accused of using weapons, or dangerous means and obstructing the official person in carrying out his official duty.
And Faton Topalli only for the second criminal act.
