Witness: I still have pain from beatings by Zoran Vukotitch

Driton Ferati, one of the people who said he was beaten by war crimes indictees Zoran Vukotic, said in court that he still feels pain in the hands of these beatings.
Ferati indicated that he was beaten by Vukotqi in Smreconica Prison, along with other inmates who were taken away in 1999 from the refugee column.
While we were going to the bathroom with a cousin of mine, Rexhep Osmani, Zoran told him come here and beat him up a lot, after that he said who's from Bare Village let everyone go out, don't let me go and get him to be worse for you “, said witness,
Ferati further indicated that 20 people from the village of Bare had then left the prison rooms, while declaring they were badly beaten by the accused.
None of us could get away without getting at least 70 hits. When we get inside, we got our socks we got wet and we got them in our hands because of the great pain”, Ferati said.
The Witness announced that while he was in his shift to Smreconica Vukotqi Prison, the prisoners were just sitting down to eat bread, he forced them to stand up and leave without starting the meal.
The witness claimed that Vukotovic had once forced him to shout “Serbia to Tirana”.
The Witness also spoke of his experiences and others in the refugee column moving from Shala, Bajgora, to Vushtrri Studies on May 2, 1999.
He said the column was two-three kilometers long, while he had witnessed firsthand how Serb forces that day injured one another.
“We've been walking in the column, while in the evening the forces of the Serbian Army have come around us and started rolling towards the column. A child who was close to being with I saw when he was wounded on his feet and his family was forced to tie his leg and to continue the street”, the witness said.
He confessed that he had heard the talks of members of Serbian forces on radio-connection, through which he said they asked each other how many of the refugees were killed.
Ferati stated that he did not understand the number of those killed, but he had heard the command proceed, continue.
The witness said that later on the military radio again he heard a person say what they were doing while he had received the answer to 110.
Then the witness said he heard the tou saying <x0bol is”.
At today's session it was meant to give his testimony even witness Safet Osmani, but he did not appear in court.
Even when the invitation was handed over, he had stated he would not come saying that I am willing to give my statement anywhere else except to the court's object in the north, because he does not feel safe.
While prosecutor Flynn proposed to send a person to talk to the witness and convince him to come and also announce that there are other legal measures in case of his failure, as this witness is important to the case.
The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo accuses Zoran Vukotovic of war crimes against the civilian population.
According to the indictment, the accused between May 2nd and 3rd 1999, in his capacity as a reserve police official from the police station in Vushtrri to co-ordination with other members from the ranks of Serbian forces participated in the attack on the Albanian civilian population, which was travelling to the village of Upper Studies in Central Studies.
During this time, according to the indictment, the civil population is deliberately subjected to brutal and illegal killings, nonhuman treatment, endless suffering, deportation, and the application of terror measures.
Among these civilians killed, wounded and treated unhumanally for whom the accused carries direct responsibility or in collaboration with others were: Ekrem Mulacu, Xhavit Mulacu, Fatmir (Ahmet) Gerjaliu, Ashref Rasica, Adnan Buxaku, Ademi, an unidentified 14-year-old man, Haki Ademi, Shaip Gerjaliu and Musa Gerjaliu. /Call. com
