The Media official in Vetevendosje Movement, Shkodran Hoti, has criticised the support the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP) has given to the PDK candidate, Shaqir Totaj, in the 19 November runoff.
Hoti, saying Prizren needs a mayor who promotes equality, such as Mytaher Haskuka, recalls Totaj's statement, who had so asked by a dose of racism against Haskuca: “Do you think someone... Turkelia who did not speak Albanian has come to regulate the issue of water and current?
According to Hoti, the chairman of the KDTP, Mahir Jagcillar is no more than a <x0ndravedge” that does not represent the Turkish community in Prizren.
Hoti's full response:
The Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP) has backed the PDK's Schiqir Totaj in the Prizren mayoral runoff race. While, not further than during the recent election campaign, testimony has been brought out in a voice where Shaqir Totay said “Do you think that someone... who scili that spoke Albanian has come to regulate the issue of water and current”, slandering in direction of Mytaher Haskuka, but also using divisive and fascist languages against the Turkish community.
I hope the Turkish community is aware that KDTP chairman Mahir Jagcilar is only a dilemma that does not represent them, even though it is part of their community. Therefore, I also wish that Yagcilar's call for Turks to back Totaj for chairman, be not heard and respected.
Prizren needs a leader who promotes equality and who works for all citizens indiscriminately. And that's Mytaher Haskuka. ”
