Turkey bans LGBTIA (Lezbiecs, Homosexuals, Bisexuals and Transsexuals) marches

“Starting on November 18th 2017, taking into account public sensitivity, any events like LGBT... cinemas, theatre performances, panels, interviews and exhibitions are prohibited until further announcement in our province, in order to ensure peace and security”, the Ankara Governor's office said.

Authorities in Ankara had banned a festival of the gay German film on November 15th, a day before it began, citing the “public security and the dangers of terrorism”, reports “Hurriyet Daily News”, Periscopi broadcast.
Four films by German directors were scheduled to appear as part of the two-day festival, organised jointly by the German Embassy and “Pink Life QueerFest”.
“Pink Life QueerFest” said the festival was attacked in social media.
