For prolitico he has reasoned that he was invited to the Academy to hold a lecture and to demonstrate his experience in protecting the country.
Lazarevic has added he has legalised for the heroisms of Serbian troops when defending the country from aggression NATO, during its 1998-1999 terrorist operation in Kosovo, broadcasts news.net.
There is an uncertain mirror both at home and abroad, in statements that I have been appointed a lecturer. No, I'm not appointed, I'm not a noble officer, nor have I taken a commitment from the current policy. I have been invited by the Military Academy's leadership to convey my experiences in protecting the country, and with great pleasure I have accepted this invitation”, Lazarevic has expressed himself.
He added that he was neither paid nor received any kind of reward.
According to him, many armies have been interested in Serbia's experience, and he has asked why the Serbian Army, academics and current officials should not be heard of these experiences.
The former general doesn't know if he'll still hold any speeches.
Maybe they'll invite me back, maybe not”, he said.
I was a soldier, and I was left only one soldier who protected his country and would always serve him. After I was released and returned to Serbia about two years ago I am fully committed to my family and myself. I don't know why someone should be worried about my public appearance”, Lazarevich has finished.
The Serbian criminal's statements have come after the European Union's response that a former war crimes indictee should not legalise at the Military Academy.
Prior to that, Defence Minister in Serbia Aleksandar Vulin stated that Lazarevic would legalise the Serbian Military Academy as a regular professor, he even said that by boasting and praising him.
