Hashim Thaci seems to have overcome his grief at British Ambassador Ruairi O'Connell, who had left a conference when the president had been running charges against internationals for failing to keep his promises.
Despite that, on Sunday, President Thaci along with Ambassador Ruairí O'Connell has visited Pristina's main square where the memorial honours the fallen British.
“In honour of British martyrs, today on Memorial Day of the United Kingdom I paid tribute to their memorial at the “Edit Square Durham” in Pristina. We bow before the sacrifice of all those who gave everything for our freedom”, wrote Thaci in the FB.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj also attended the United Kingdom Memorial Day ceremony.
However, Thaci's reactions to internationals, especially to the Special Court, many have linked the risk of even the president being among the first on this institution's list.
However, Thaci had issued charges that the internationals failed to keep their promises, but punished Kosovo.
Kosovo kept its word and founded the Court, but the international community took no step. Kosovo just got the odds harder. Kosovo was shown game, but was sentenced mostly”, Thaci was expressed at the conference when the British ambassador left.
