According to information from the counting centre, Djind was leading even with votes counted on bail against his counterCandid, Mimoza Kusari-Lila.
The AAK's Djind emerged as the winner of the runoff in the Gjakova municipality, with 51.49 per cent.
Djind has left behind current Gjakova chairman Mimoza Kusari-Lila, who has received 46.51 per cent.
