If you're trying to get pregnant, the actual advice about childbirth is not to drink alcohol.
But a moderate amount of red wine no more than five cups a month can actually help you get pregnant, suggests research.
The study found a link between drinking red wine and healthy ovaries that produce more eggs.
White wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages did not have the same effect. Doctors have always said that alcohol should be completely averted if you are trying to get pregnant in order to prevent injuries during pregnancy development.
Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in the United States decided to examine the effect of alcohol on fertility. They studied 135 women between the ages of 18 and 44, and measured their Adriatic reserve.
This is the ovaries ' capacity to produce healthy ovaries, measured by calculating the anthral glands that produce them.
It was found that women who had been drinking moderate amounts of red wine (no more than five glasses of wine a month) had the largest Adriatic reserve.
