France's Ambassador to Pristina, Didier Chamber, said today that Serbia and Kosovo should make efforts to achieve full reconciliation as two neighbouring states and work together to build a common European future.
He made these comments on the occasion of the commemoration of the victims and end of World War I, from the French and German Embassy in Kosovo, attended by US Ambassador Greg Delawie and British in our country, Ruairi O'Connell.
French diplomat said France and Germany have found the way of brotherhood and peace, enabling Europe to build a new future that does not forget universal human rights values.
“The society and Franco-German co-operation is the main pillar of all pillars of politics in Europe. What Germany and France have done are examples for the entire region by recommending that this is the way the two countries that have recently been divided, Serbia and Kosovo, and must make efforts to achieve full reconciliation as two fully solid neighbouring states ready to work together to build a common European future”, Chamber said.
German Ambassador Christian Heldt said that today we are united for the deaths of all wars especially killed in World War I. According to him, the horrors of the three wars fought only within 75 years have brought French and German people into a community of luck as European engines.
This country had to create peace after it was broken on the other side. For this reason, we Europeans without extensive status, stand behind the need to protect our values in the transatlantic alliance, this has restored Kosovo peace and freedom”, the German diplomat said.
