Republika Srpska President in Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik has made a strong statement that relates to recent statements through the region's media that Serbia is getting ready to recognise Kosovo's independence.
He has provided an interview for “Deutsche Welle” on the occasion of signing the anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, where he has talked about reports with official Belgrade.
According to him, if Belgrade decides to recognise the Republic of Kosovo, it will personally not oppose that decision, if, in fact, it means independence also for Republika Srpska in BiH.
If there are rights for some, then there should be for others”, Dodik said, Inseder reported.
He noted he would take all steps to do the same after recognising Kosovo's independence from Serbia, making a referendum on the division of Republika Srpska from Bosnia.
