The US Department of Foreign Affairs in its published report on Serbia has removed the dilemma as regards participation in the upcoming dialogue between the Kosovo and Serbian sides.

The report has cited the beginning of future dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which it says the US will strongly support and that they will have active participation by helping the two countries overcome political barriers, Serbian media write, broadcast Ideksonline.

The United States will continue to support the efforts of Serbia and Kosovo to fully implement the existing dialogue on dialogue and help both sides complete normalisation”, the US Department of Foreign Affairs reports say in part of the report.

Serbian media calling in this accepted report earlier this month have also commented on Serbian Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bryan Hoyt Yee, who was told that Serbia cannot sit on two chairs or choose east or west.

Regarding this Serbian media stress that Hoyt Yee's messages are not reflected in the US department report, commenting on them as of little importance in principle.

According to the report on relations between Serbia and the United States, the country holds a key strategic position in the Balkans at social, political and geographic crossroads between Eastern and Western Europe.

The United States tries to strengthen their relations with Serbia through deepening joint interest-based co-operation and respect.

The United States wants Serbia to become part of a stable region in the Balkans and will continue to support Serbia's integration into European institutions to help normalise relations between Serbia and Kosovo, strengthen rule of law, partnership in security issues and boost economic growth, says the US Department of Foreign Affairs report.
