According to him, even with the construction of the “New Kosovo” the power supply issue is not resolved.
“Brenda this year will have to be signed contract for construction of the New Kosovo thermal power plant, though there is a lot of work. All issues with investors must be settled. The World Bank gives you its opinion and not forgetting the environmental pollution component”, Shatri said.
According to him, the energy strategy should be the number one concern the country's institutions must have, adding that it must be built by it, the strategy for not four years, but over a period of 20 to 30 years.
A new capacity must be built, whether with coal or renewable energy, because with plus 450 megawatts, we cannot plan dynamic development of the economy”, Shatri said.
