The Spanish state prosecutor will ask those responsible for voting for Catalonia's independence, which, according to him, will be charged with rebellion, the prosecutor's spokesman has said.
He said the charges would be raised Monday.
According to him, the prosecutor will also review the charges for Catalan leaders, led by President Carls Pucdemon, Vice President Oriol Zunkeras, party leaders and MPs who were present in the vote of the Declaration of Independence.
Under Spanish criminal law, rebellion could be sentenced to 25 years in prison.
