The Spanish leader said it was necessary before the Spanish government took other measures.
“I give 5 days to the separatist leader of Catalonia as to whether he has declared independence” was expressed.
If Carles Puigdemont will confirm that he has taken this step, he will be given another five days to withdraw the declaration of independence.
At the end of the deadline, if the declaration of independence is clarified and Catalonia does not withdraw it, official Madrid will implement Article 155 of the Constitution that allows the central government to suspend Catalonia's autonomy and impose direct governance.
On the other hand, on Tuesday, Mr. Puigdemont signed a declaration of independence, but stopped its implementation to allow negotiations with Madrid
Rajoy accused Puigdemont of creating deliberate “transfusion” and said it would restore “Security”
