The chairman of the Kosovo Economic Ode (OEK), Safet Gerjaliu, has said that warning of salary increases in the public sector is a heavy coup for Kosovo, since, according to him, it will deepen the poverty gap and be discriminatory in relation to the private sector.
In an interview for the newspaper “The New Age”, in the case of October 17th, International Day Against Poverty, Gerjaliu has said that in Kosovo there are high rates of extreme poverty and unemployment the cause of discriminated policies.
Otherwise, the Kosovo government has warned of wage increases in relation to economic growth in the country.
The Government's idea of wage growth, according to economic growth in the country, has also supported the International Monetary Fund (FMN).
