Ondrey Cakl from Transparency International of Czechia, has stressed that research conducted in co-operation with KDI on the expenses of political subjects for the election campaign for local elections in Kosovo has been carried out by sending political subjects a questionnaire with eight questions on the expenses of pre-elector campaigns.
“are 6 of 20 selected subjects who have responded positively to the call to provide spending data. We see as progress some political subjects have made the first step of transparency. It should be shallow that even these six subjects have stated only after they've been contacted by telephone and all six subjects have answered all the questionnaire questions. Political parties have shown through the questionnaire what their budget is like, how they will spend it and their election headquarters”, he has said.
The subjects that have given the answer are: The Movement for the Union, NISMA, the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Word Party, the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo and Porket Za Gora.
