Newly appointed Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli has said Kosovo is a success model for international diplomacy.
Minister Pacolli said this statement in “The Diplomat School for New Diplomats, represented by various countries in the world” that is being held in Prizren.
“Could small Kosovo help with something of global diplomatic opinion, the experience of a diplomat? Paradoxically, I believe we all have to answer yes. Kosovo, exemplifies peoples suffering ethnic discrimination with its experience in fighting for statehood, for democracy and human rights, with Ibrahim Rugova, dubbed Europe's Gandhi”, have been Pacolli's words.
But apparently Pacolli is not familiar with Kosovo diplomacy scandals around the world.
The Kosovo state's experience in diplomacy has manifested with various scandals in recent years, but has culminated several months ago with suspicions that a consulate official has been involved in serious crimes.
In 2013 Urtak Hamiti, then Kosovo Embassy minister in Croatia, had risked the lives of Croatian citizens during driving the vehicle, which was moving “zig-zag” where he was allegedly drunk.

Insander also reported in February this year that a Kosovo consulate official in Zurich, Mehmet Bislimi, expected Kosovars who need consular services on the table. Insander had also published a photograph of this person doing so.
But he later said that his feet had been placed on the table during his vacation.
But the peak of scandals may have been reached by Albert Veliu, a driver in the Consulate in New York, who is being accused by the American state of money laundering and narcotics trafficking.

Albert Veliu, 34, along with American national Anthony Noterile, have been sent to the Federal Court in Brooklyn, New York.
In addition, Veliu is charged with selling an AK-47 weapon, an M80 anti-tank rocket and the Zolja equipped with a 64-millimeter missile.
