Former Gjakova Mayor Mimoza Kusari-Lila has said the local election process in Gjakova has followed a host of abuses from the AAK party.
She said that at the moment of publishing final results from the CEC, recounting of votes for the Gjakova municipality would be required.
I think it's been a generally good process today that we've identified to the extent that there's been an abuse of voting in some areas that we officially know to present the facts to.
There is also a gap in the number of 500 votes from the number of votes reported as voting and votes reported as used. The other problem is obviously that in some cases there has been abuse of vote in the largest number of voters, whether in forms of how they are divided through commissioners and observers”, she has said.
According to her, the AAK has made abuses of votes because the counting process has shown that there are differences with the number of votes reported and those marked as being voted.
For all of us, we are preparing complaints and will officially seek recount at the moment of announcing the preliminary and final results. On the other hand, going to the runoff is a success, and I believe that we are powerful winners in the runoff by getting unreasonable that the AAK is always having to misuse the vote that, at any cost, was in the race as in this case. We will in no way allow the will of Gjakova citizens to be misused in the run-off, demanding additional measures by adding the number of commissionors to each poll”, Kusari Lila said.
