Kosovo and Kataton have nothing in common

National Initiative Council for Kosovo Chairman Jakup Krasniqi has reacted to statements by Serbian officials, which equated Catalonia's independence bid with that of Kosovo. Krasniqi said that only the desire for independence of both peoples could be to some extent equal. Through a post on the social Facebook network [...]

Through a post on the social network Facebook he has explained why the Catalonia case is not the same as that of Kosovo.

Kosovo's “Albanians, in addition to independence, their centuries-old efforts, following the invasion of Serbia (1912) and the fragmentation of Albanian lands by the Ambassador Conference in London in the summer of 1913, the top priests had the freedom and unity of the nation. This fact didn't happen with Catalonia”.

Thus, comparing Kosovo's independence with the will of Catalonia's people for independence has marks of draw, everything else is more than matchless. Local and European opinion is worth knowing the many differences that are more than known, among developments that have occurred in Kosovo for a century, which in no way can compare to those that during the same period took place in Catalon”, Krasniqi wrote.

KATALONIA AND COSOVA DO NOT CANA
A THROUGHOUT

The events that last days took place in Catalonia for independence and secession from Spain prompted top Serbian officials to run for equal marks between Kosovo and Catalonia! Only one thing can be equal, the desire for independence of both peoples.

Why somehow?

Kosovo Albanians, in addition to independence, their centuries-old efforts, following the occupation by Serbia (1912) and the fragmentation of Albanian lands by the Ambassador Conference in London in the summer of 1913, the leaders had freedom and unity of the nation. That did not happen to Catalonia. So, Kosovo's independence, after a one-year freedom, liberation and national union war, came as an international implant to prevent the unification of Albanians. With this international instabilization they had, not to make a fair, sustainable and natural solution of Albanians, but to facilitate Serbia's recognition of independence and simultaneously by offering Kosovo Serbs a “discrimination<x1 positive broad. And there is no doubt, this positive discrimination has made the state of Kosovo dysfunctional. So, comparing Kosovo's independence with the will of the people of Catalonia for independence has marks of equality, everything else is more than matchless. Local and European opinion is worth knowing the many differences that are more than known, among developments that have occurred in Kosovo for a century, which in no way can be compared to those that during the same period took place in Catalon.

The Kosovo Albanian people, from 1913 to the last war, have more than once been subject to genocide policies, which politics as the main goal had the complete or partial disappearance of Kosovo Albanians. All other instruments of war for the extermination and deportation of Albanians from their ancestors, including the numerous fires, before and after World War II, and especially the genocide extended in 1998/99 (the mass killings of innocent and unarmed civilians and the violation of more than 20,000 women and girls), were in service of Serbian genocide policies. I have no doubt, the Catalans in their political life in the state of Spain have passed no single goals, while Kosovo Albanians have passed several times and are all known to the democratic world. The peak was undoubtedly on the latest 1990-1999 goals. The top of this goals was the last war, 1998-1999. This war was also caused by international intervention due to the humanitarian crisis that Milosevic's criminal regime had caused, for which he responded to The Hague Tribunal, who, due to his death, was left unpunished.

Following the war and NATO's 78-day bombing, International Management -- known as UNMIK -- was established in Kosovo as the transitional period that would lead Kosovo to its final status. None of this has happened in Catalon.
To come to Independence with international co-ordination, talks on the issue have been held by Secretary General's emissary, Finland's President (1994-2000), Mr. Martti Ahtisaari. The talks lasted two years (2006-2007) and ended with the Comprehensive Document for the Resolution of Kosovo's Final Status. The talks had begun and were oriented according to the Contact Group Declaration, which conveyed those talks to the end. The goal of the talks was to abolish the KS Resolution 1244 at the end of this process and with another resolution internationally recognise Kosovo independence and its UN membership. After this did not go because Serbia did not approve of President Ahtisaari's document, Kosovo in co-ordination with the international factor chose Kosovo's second path of independence by elected representatives of the people of Kosovo, and this was done on February 17th 2008.

So none of this has happened to Spain or the Catalans. Of course, there are many other reasons and arguments, which were not mentioned in this case, that occurred in Kosovo and did not occur in Catalonia. This has not happened even in the fact that Spain was a democratic country and an EU member. Therefore, any attempts to equate the situation in Catalonia today with what has happened in Kosovo for a century are more than a waste of time.
In short, in no way, and no one could take the draw marks between Kosovo independence and the referendum on the independence of Catalonia!

The facts brought forward, along with the July 2010 JND decision, that Kosovo's independence does not conflict with the general norms of international law, all the facts brought make it completely unnecessary to refuse that the five EU states, which are opposing recognition of Kosovo's independence.
