Janjiq: Continued Kosovo-Serbia dialogue in autumn 2018

Serbian political analyst Dusan Janjic has today declared that the results of the first round of local elections in Kosovo show there will be no dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina until the fall of next year. “This is an indication that dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade will last and, according to all odds [...]
“This is an indication that dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade will last, and in all likelihood a new phase cannot be reactivated before the end of the second round of local elections, then Serbia enters April elections. Mga dialogue will have nothing until next fall. There is another lost year ahead of us and the accounts of Serbia's membership in the European Union prior to 2026 have already fallen into water “, Janzic said of the agency [Beta[Bata], Telegrafi conveys.
Janzic praised that in the continuation of Brussels' dialogue, the Kosovo government will have a better initial position than that of the Government of Serbia.
He said the issue of Belgrade's control over the Serbian List is not controversial, as is what other actors in Serb political life are overlooked and said it created the illusion that Belgrade is in a good position to meet the obligations it has undertaken.
“Belgrade in this way has been put in a non-volved situation, as well as that Serbs from the Serbian List, because all pressure will become over them. There are no more excuses than what Kosovo government puts in a better position than Serbia in the Brussels” dialogue, Janjic said.
Commenting on the election results in Albanian majority municipalities, Janjic said there is still no final results that are good for the Albanian side in Kosovo.
“It is clear that from the existing results, Vetevendosje has confirmed its impact, and if there is an increase and Vetevendosje wins the mayor in Dukagjin, or in other important countries to create the conditions for liberalisation, it is a sign that very quickly, most recently within years, there will be extraordinary parliamentary elections “, he said.
He added that local elections, when it comes to Albanian parties, are an indication of political instability and early parliamentary elections should be expected.
