The Iranian security chief has accused the US of supporting the growth of terrorism in Iraq and Syria and of bombing Yemen. He even called President Donald Trump a liar.
In an interview for Euronews, by the time Iran's nuclear agreement with world powers is threatened, the secretary of Iran's Supreme Council for National Security, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, has said: “unfortunately, Trump is a liar. The US imposes sanctions on Iran, supports the increase in terrorism in Iraq and Syria, and bombards Yemen”, broadcast Express.
He also accused Trump of distorting Iran's history.
When Trump calls him a terrorist nation Iran, or when he distorts the 2,500-year history of the Persian Gulf, calling it an Arab Gulf, people realize they are under attack”, he has told Euronews.
His comments came days after US President Donald Trump refused to verify Iran's nuclear agreement with world powers.
During a speech Friday, Trump threatened to withdraw the US from the deal if the US Congress and the US allies disagree to improve it so as not to allow Iran to develop intercontinent nuclear weapons or ballistic missiles.
