National Initiative Council for Kosovo Chairman Jakup Krasniqi has said President Hashim Thaci should not reason on establishing the Special Court and blaming the internationals for this.
He on a Facebook note has said there have been many reasons not to form the Special Court and that now it is time for Kosovo to start seeing its fruits more than bitter for its future and its citizens.
Krasniqi's full Facebook script:
Not wanting to prejudge anything, but the truth is that three harmful political actions that have been done to the country have been and are harmful acts of the head of state, Mr Hashim Thaci. To be correct, Thaci with public opinion, he should not reason on one side to establish the Special Court and on the other to blame others for the Court. The court, for which he had a hundred and one reason not to form it, was particularly likely after prosecutor Wilson stated that “mung evidence of organ trafficking”, on the basis of which charge was filed, the Dic Marty report later converted from the EC to Resolution. But not only did he make no effort but he has strongly postponed its formation. Now is the time for Kosovo to start seeing its more than bitter fruits for the future of Kosovo and its citizens. What he said today, on October 9, 2017, that: “The decision to establish the Special Court came as an international political need rather than for justice. Our admission came with the reasoning that it must satisfy other acts so that this issue is not delegated to the United Nations”. That's where the Mayor says we have two major inaccuracies. First, the Special Court would have to form justice for him in the country, not to meet anyone's political needs, not internationals. And the second thing you say about the United Nations is quite a bluff, as those for crimes committed in the former Yugoslavia had The Hague Tribunal and the JS could not be done without the request of Kosovo.
As you know, this is not Thaci's only mistake when he was prime minister in the second term! That Kosovo and its citizens has done two major damage, hard to repair, as they are: The April 13th 2013 agreement reached in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia with Brussels' mediation and the Demarket Agreement with Montenegro, which Kosovo and its citizens have remained as “out on foot to this day. Thaci, you should not hide behind the accusations he made on any of these three cases. That public opinion of Kosovo owes it to them to show the real reasons for these major damage it has done to the state of Kosovo and its citizens. He's never done that before.
All in the end, I stopped at these three major damage, the damage that will cost you generations, that the damage to governance in the country is so great that there is no citizen of the country that is not watching and living with them every day. And he's especially hit the new generation that's been looking for him outside the country!
