Poe, who is co-chairman of the Group of Serbia at the US Congress, spoke of the “American Office” after returning from Belgrade this week to say he will deliver Serbian President Aleksandar Vuqic's message to US President Donald Trump, where he would encourage him to visit Serbia.

I think that if Trump goes there, he will find that Serbs, like Americans, love him and his nonconventional leadership. This visit would be good for Serbia and the United States of America, I hope it will go”, he said.

Tanjug cited the interview to report that Poe also said it was his wish for Serbia to be a good place for American companies and vice versa.

“The countries that have good economic co-operation are stronger together, and encouraging American investments in Serbia is one of my goals. We want to ensure that Serbia is attractive to American business people and stability is very important.
