“Novi Pazar is my native land. Your happiness is our happiness, your pain is our”, Erdogan said, reports “b92”, the Periscope broadcast.
Erdogan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuqic held a meeting Wednesday with the mayors of Novi Pazar, Raska, Kraljevva, Sjenica, Tutini, Prijepollje, Nova Varos and Priboj.
Before that, a large number of Novi Pazar residents are welcomed by two presidents.
Novi Pazar, the largest city in the southwestern region of Serbia, known as Sandzak home for a large Muslim (Bosnian) minority, is now decorated with billboards with images of Erdogan, the flags of Serbia and Turkey and Bosnian flags.
Erdogan is on a two-day visit to Serbia, which began Tuesday.
Our “task is to work as hard as we can and develop all parts of Serbia and invest more and more in the future”, President Vuqic said, where he announced another project to build Pozega-Boljare Street.
“We want to connect this area to Belgrade, Sarajevo and Podgorica”, he added.
