This relic is actually the ancient fossil that inspired directors to create Ridley Scott's horror coach, “Alien”.
This 300-year-old fossil, which inspired the artist who created the extraterrester of films “Alien”, was stolen, but later turned into a museum in Switzerland.
The remains of this fossil according to researchers are up to 300 million years old, reports “AlienBlog”, Periscopi broadcast.
The exceptionally rare fossil greatly enhanced public imagination when it appeared in Switzerland, which not only attracted many visitors but also tempted a thief.
Police believe the thief, who entered the museum and stole the dinosaur Aathal Museum award exhibition, is a fossil collector.
Last week, the police released some photos to track the thief down.
The museum spokesman added: “is a very valuable fossil but also very special and it will be very difficult for anyone to sell or keep a secret given the publicity about theft”. /Periscopi/
