Why did the US hit infrastructure last night while today continued to repel Iranian attacks

The US Army has not carried out new attacks on Iran since last night, but has continued to bring down attacks launched by Iran, an American official has declared.
In a proposal for American partner NBC News, the official said American ground systems had been intercepting Iranian ballistic missiles, while airlines had dropped fears and floating missiles targeting neighbouring countries.
He added that so far there have been no reports of hurt or significant damage to American objects, the trigger Skynews.
Iran has also not fired commercial ships since Tuesday, and has banned threats against them through radio communications.
These are other details provided by the American official:
Relocation of the naval blockade to Iran remains an option on the table.
Although rockets and drones did not cause direct damage to American objects, the remains generated by interceptions caused damage.
A rocket intercept on U.S. Navy headquarters in Bahrain caused waste damage even in a non-American building.
During the past night, the US hit roads, bridges and infrastructure that enabled Iran, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), to move supplies and weapons.
The US did not hit the nuclear power plant in Bushehr, despite Iranian state media claiming an American missile had hit its perimeter. /Periscope/
