Trump speaks of fighting with Iran: Vietnam lasted 19 years, it takes time

US President Donald Trump said Iranian leaders have not yet reached an agreement with the US to end the ongoing war because there are strong""and"secretaries", but in the end, he added, the"ata have no choice other than to reach an agreement.
They are strong, they are proud, there are things they never thought they would do, but they will have to. They don't have a choice and they need a little time", the president told the TV moderator"Meet the Press"of NBC News, Kristen Welker, during an interview in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Trump's comments come as American and Iranian leaders have negotiated to end the war, which entered the fourth month last week.
The two countries agreed to a ceasefire in April, which has been extended several times, although tensions rose in recent days when the US and Iran exchanged attacks near the Strait of Hormuz.
The ongoing conflict prompted Iran months ago to close the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial maritime crossing for oil tankers.
The closure of the strait has led to rising oil prices at a global level and increasing US gas prices, putting pressure on Trump and Republican leaders in Washington to ease economic pressure on Americans.
During the interview, Trump criticised those who are pushing him to reach an agreement with Iran soon to end the conflict, saying: "> Years to do these things".
These people have been fighting for 47 years. They have killed Americans", the president said, referring to Iranian leaders.
He continued to compare the duration of this conflict with the Vietnam War, saying: "is going too fast. We're in the third month. You know, Vietnam lasted 19 years”
Trump added that so far in the conflict, the US has completely destroyed Iran's “army, but added that Iran still has several missiles and fears. /Periscope/
