(19 days ago)The Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren has announced that he has filed a request for the detention measure against a defendant for carrying out the criminal act “Fajdeja”, while another person suspected of the same criminal act is on the run and is on the run by competent bodies.
According to allegations resulting from the ongoing investigation, suspected persons have acted in co-ordination by exploiting the injured's serious financial situation, by which cases have contracted and received markedly unproportional amounts in relation to the loan granted.
According to the announcement by the ongoing investigations, it turns out that in September 2021 a loaning agreement in the amount of 50,000 euros, under serious financial conditions for the injury, including monthly interest and substantial property benefits in favour of defendants. Then, through constant demands for payment and pressure exerted on families of the injured, multiple sums higher than the original loan have been required.
“After the investigation, the injured allegedly paid a total of about 150,000 euros without counting the basic debt. Also, the prosecution is conducting investigations into another person, who is suspected of committing criminal work “Manipulation with evidence”, due to allegations that he has taken action aimed at preventing or challenging criminal procedure and correct management of evidence”, is said in the communiqué.
The State Prosecutor, praising the circumstances in the case, the burden of criminal acts, the risk of witness influence, the possibility of obstructing criminal procedure as well as the risk of running away, has demanded from the court the appointment of the detention measure against arrested defendants. /Periscope/
