Remaining at sea, Himara Police Help Five Foreign Tourists

Border police in Himara have helped five foreign tourists in two cases of emergency registered in the Gulf of Filicour area, enabling their rescue and evacuation in time.
In the first case, four foreign tourists, two Swedish citizens and two from the United Kingdom, who had come out of the Pottam area in the direction of Filicour, lost contact with the group and were trapped by strong wind and waves.
After the announcement, Border Police services immediately organised the search along the coastline and managed to locate near “Tourists were safely evacuated.
In the second case, an Australian citizen sought help after having suffered physical injuries and was trapped in Filicour Bay.
The naval vehicle of the Border Police, which made it possible to locate and transport it to the Port of Himara, where it was then sent for hospital treatment.
Tourists thanked the police services for the immediate response and professionalism shown.
Border police continue to be fully engaged in the service of citizens, visitors and tourists, and, in this context, invite citizens to call for 112 in case they need to call.
