Is EuroKos Petrol directly affecting the reduction of derivative prices in Kosovo?

In a period when the maximum price allowed for Euro Diesel is 1.54m per litre, EuroKos Petrol is offering it by only 1.45m, creating a 9-center per litre margin in favour of consumers.
According to EuroKos Petrol Director Diellon Kelmendi, the company has direct impact on lowering the prices of derivatives across Kosovo.
When we set lower prices, competition is forced to react. This creates pressure on the market, and it affects other operators to lower prices. In the end, the biggest winner is Kosovo citizen”, Kelmendi said.
He added that EuroKos Petrol's philosophy is not to exploit the maximum prices allowed by the state, but to offer prices as competitive and affordable as possible for consumers.
“We believe that a strong market is built through honest competition. The lower our prices, the greater the pressure created on the market to protect the interest of the citizens, he said.
According to Kelmendi, the influence of EuroCos Petrol is measured not only by the number of customers supplied daily but also by the effect it creates on the entire derivative market in Kosovo.
As many operators navigate towards allowed maximum prices, EuroKos Petrol is pursuing another strategy, aiming to be the stabilising and driving factor of competition in the market.
“If citizens today find the most favourable prices at many gas stations across Kosovo, a part of this reality comes from the competitive pressure EuroKos Petrol has created among the years”, Kelmendi concluded.
With Eurodiesel at 1.45m, at a time when the allowed ceiling is 1.54m, EuroKos Petrol is continuing to deploy as one of the most aggressive consumer interest companies and in promoting competition in the Kosovo derivative market.
