Election Coordinator meets Ud. Chief prosecutor for June 7th balance: 5 people detained and 17 works with criminal elements

Chief State Prosecutor Agron Qalaj's duty has met today with the National Election Co-ordinator, Prosecutor Laura Pula, where they have discussed election day and incidents.
According to a media report, Qalaj stressed that zero tolerance towards any attempts at violating the will of citizens and immediate response to any allegations of irregularities have proved the State Prosecutor's commitment to protecting legitimacy, the integrity of the elections and the constitutional right of citizens to vote freely.
Co-ordinator Pula has informed Qalaj that during the day of holding the elections, the State Prosecutor has accepted some information and, following their verification and treatment, until the closure of the voting process, it has been found that only seventeen of them present elements of the conduct of criminal acts against the right to vote.
Of all these cases, five persons were detained that same day, while twelve persons were released in regular procedure”, the communique points out.
Likewise, prosecutor Pula informed that she is monitoring the treatment of these cases in the fundamental prosecutors and that, so far, all cases are continuing in regular procedure.
