The LDK's asmblist in Gjilan, Genrit Murseli, who has considered this development as a result of public response and civic pressure, has reacted.

In a public statement, Murseli said the decision on withdrawal came following concerns raised by citizens and reactions of the last days.

“We just received the announcement from the Parliament administration that it has withdrawn from the Pro-Determination-Determination agenda (99 years) of over 75 hectares of municipal land. After my public response yesterday and the great concern of citizens, it proved that transparency and public pressure produce results,” has declared Murseli.

He has added that attracting the decision constitutes, according to him, a step behind the mayor.

This is a step back to Alban Hysen, who was forced to withdraw from the attempt to provide this public property in the use of a company founded just two months ago,” said it.

Murseli also stressed that public property should not be addressed as a matter of private interests.

This decision does not pass because citizens' wealth is not negotiated and is not pardoned for personal interests! ” he declared.

The withdrawn decision was meant to be considered in the Municipal Assembly and had sparked reactions in public opinion and by representatives of the opposition.

On the other hand, Gjilan municipality chairman Alban Hyseni has not yet issued a public statement concerning the withdrawal of this proposal.
