Bedri Hamza: Education and Youth in Centre of PDK Programme

Kosovo Democratic Party President and Prime Minister Bedri Hamza has presented the fourth pledge of his governing programme for reform and modernisation of the education system, skills for the future and opportunities for young people
Hamza, at a media conference, has indicated that a quality education system enables citizens, builds competitive economies and stable institutions, so the PDK-led government will address this sector as a national priority.
“Education is not an expense. Education is the surest investment a state can make for its future. Therefore, on June 7th, we seek the citizens' trust to build a modern, quality and competitive educational system that gives our children and young people the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they deserve. Because Kosovo's change begins with the generation education that will build Kosovo tomorrow”, the chairman of the group has said. PDK.
Hamza underlining the challenges facing teachers and students and students has shown that at the centre of his education vision is the youth of Kosovo.
He promised the Fund of the 30m-euro Stock Exchanges annually and research programmes guaranteeing employment opportunities, which young people build their lives and careers in Kosovo.
The PDK government will strengthen university autonomy, support scientific research and enhance international co-operation with the most prestigious European and world universities. We want universities that not only give diplomas, but produce knowledge, innovation and solutions for the country's development. In this direction, we will also establish the School Fund for Students. For the first time, we will create the Stock Exchange Fund for Students worth 30m euros annually. This fund will guarantee direct support for students, regardless of their economic or social situation. Investment in our students is investment in Kosovo's most valuable capital in its citizens. The other side where we're going to focus is informal education and youth creativity”, Hamza promised.
One of the priorities The PDK, Hamza says it is also modernising professional education and its direct connection to the needs of the economy.
“Professional schools will be equipped with modern infrastructure, while businesses will be actively involved in the students' practical education process. Our goal is clear: more professional skills, more jobs and more opportunities for young people to build their career in Kosovo”, Hamza said.
And so, leader of PDK thanked thousands of citizens across Kosovo, who have so far expressed support for The PDK invited everyone to the closing rally in Pristina on Saturday.
Whatever we were, we felt the citizens' energy for change. We have felt their desire to end the crisis, restore hope and build a Kosovo with more opportunities for all. So today I want to invite all citizens to join our closing rally on Saturday, June 6, from 8:00, in “Square. Skenderbeu” in Pristina. Let's finish this journey together with a clear message: Kosovo deserves more. And, Kosovo will change. We'll change it to”, Hamza said.
