Over 16 thousand citizens exercise vote for the first time today

The June 7th early parliamentary elections will mark a special moment for thousands of young people in Kosovo who will participate for the first time in an election process.
According to data published by the Central Election Commission (KQZ), 16,934 citizens who have turned 18 after the 28 December 2025 parliamentary elections will vote for the first time.
The voter's preliminary list for the June 7th elections includes a total of 2.092,174 voters. Meanwhile, the total number of new voters to participate for the first time in the vote totals 22,131 people.
Of this number, 16,933 are citizens who have reached adulthood after the last parliamentary elections, while another 5,198 are persons registered for the first time in the Central Civil Register or citizens who have restored Kosovo's citizenship.
The data shows that of 16,934 young voters, 8,752 are males, who make up 51.68 percent of the total, while 8,182 are females, or 48.31 percent.
The participation of these new voters is considered an important element for the democratic process and representation of the new generation in the country's political decision making. /Periscope
